Shamy Bash is weekend camping music festival. Live Bands and good spirits promote a care-free, good time atmosphere for an entire weekend of fun!
You should expect a semi-primitive camping scene. There is plenty of space for tents, bathrooms, bathrooms, garbage facilities, and limited showers. There will be no alcoholic beverage sales on the grounds, however you may bring your own. There is also a nearby Sunoco for purchases needed during the event. Limited water is available, you may want to bring your own for drinking purposes. Ice will be available for purchase at the Shamy Shop located next to the stage. Expect an easy going, friendly atmosphere. Bad attitudes are not welcomed and fighting will be cause for eviction. Please see rules page for more details. There will be camp fires, drum circles, downhill wagon racing, dancing, spinning, cheers, beers, hool-a-hooping, glow sticks, jamn', groovn', butterflies, fairies, and let us not forget the goats, guitars and grass.
No. In the past we have always faired decent weather, however, this is a rain or shine event. Rain can't stop our patrons from a good time, just be prepared for all types of weather. Shows will be performed in the event of rain since our stage offers covering for the band and their equipment, there is also a 120X150 ft covering for the patrons to watch.
Maybe.. Campsites are on a first come basis, so get there as close to opening time as possible. Gates open at time mentioned on ticket, no early arrivals except for bands and vendors (they will be contacted by the organizers with specific instructions.) The only exception is of course early bird. Early bird tickets are available and holders may attend the event one day early. We will even be providing some live music Thursday night for the early bird patrons.
Bring all camping necessities including tent, toiletries ect... You may bring food and beverages, food and merchandise vending will be on site. We recommend you do not bring bottles since they can cause injury and will not be allowed at the stage area (they are allowed at campsites and contents can be poured into plastic cups for enjoyment at stage area.) Please see rules page for a list of all prohibited items. We recommend the following items to bring with you.
Yes. Personal campfires will be permitted. The fires may be no bigger than knee-high. Keep all open flames away from tents, clothing and all other flammable items. DO NOT leave fires unattended while burning. We recommend you bring plenty of firewood for your personal fire needs. We recommend you keep water nearby in case you need to extinguish or control the height of your fire. Camp fires are a privilege at Shamy Bash and not a right, so use common sense around them to avoid loss of this privilege.
We only have a few simple rules at Shamy Bash, it's simple and that's the way we like it, but the few rules we do have are enforced strictly:
1. BE KIND - POOR ATTITUDES ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Any one involved in any disruption will be evicted, it does not matter "who started it", if someone is confrontational, please contact security immediately, and walk away!
2. WRISTBANDS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIME - DO NOT AID ANYONE WITHOUT ONE. The wristbands at this event are strong and water proof. If for some reason yours starts to break or come off, please go to the front gate immediately for a replacement. Anyone without a wristband will be asked to leave. Do not hang out with people without a wristband as you could be asked to leave for assisting them. We have found through the years that people without a wristband are usually the ones that cause the problems at festivals, and for your security and safety we ask that you report anyone without a wristband.
3. KEEP IT CLEAN! Bring trash bags to store your trash, dumpsters and barrels will be available for your trash. Do not throw cans/bottles on the ground. When in the stage area, try to keep cigarette butts and drink containers in the trash. Glow sticks/necklaces can also be picked up after their use and placed in proper garbage containers.
4. PROHIBITED ITEMS- DO NOT BRING - WEAPONS, FIREARMS, FIREWORKS, NITROUS TANKS, OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD CAUSE HARM TO YOU OR ANOTHER. ANY OF THESE ITEMS FOUND WILL BE CONFISCATED AND HANDED OVER TO THE PROPER AUTHORITY.
5. LOOK OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER! Safety starts with you, so be alert and safe at all times, help each other out and keep each other safe!
6. MISC. RULES - Speed limit on the grounds is 5 mph...so keep the dust on the ground, and drive slow! Camp fires must be kept knee high or smaller, please do not leave fires unattended. All Federal, State and Local Laws apply. The rules are simple, so please follow them as they will be enforced strictly.
The Safety of the event relies on everyone including you! Security will be on hand to enforce the rules of Shamy Bash and help ensure your safety, however, we rely on all who attend to help keep the atmosphere problem free. If you happen to see a problem, contact security, do not get involved as it could lead to eviction from the event. We recommend you leave all valuables at home. (V.C.R. productions llc., Frontier Ranch, and all associates will not be held responsible for the lost or stolen.) Limited first aid will be available on site and local authorities and rescue crews will be aware of our presence and only 3-4 minutes away. Only people with a valid ticket and wristband will be permitted onto the grounds to help ensure everyone safety.
I can only attend one day, is there a discount for this?
Yes. One day passes will be available for Saturday only. You can find more information on this as it becomes available on the ticket page of this website.
Once I am there may I leave and return later?
We recommend that once you arrive at Shamy Bash you remain on the grounds, however, you may leave and return as long you have on you your ticket stub and wristband when you return. Cut, taped, or tampered wristbands will not be accepted.
